Arthur Gillis, Project Manager
Arthur joined Colantonio in September 2014 with 21 years experience as a Project Manager, Estimator and Structural Engineer for both public and private clients. His background includes academic, municipal, retail, historic restoration and parking garage projects with former employers CTA Construction, NER Construction Management, J.T. Callahan & Sons, and J.F. White Contracting Company. Arthur's expertise is in managing highly specialized building restorations, from preconstruction planning through construction and closeout.
Arthur's first project at Colantonio is the Eliot Upper School, a renovation of the former North Bennet Street School in the heart of the North End. "As a Project Manager, I really enjoy historic restorations because they offer a more creative approach to building a project," he says. "The design team is often receptive to ideas from general contractors and subcontractors who specialize in that kind of work." In fact, Arthur is restoring an old truck in his spare time. He also spends quality time with his three children, mountain bike riding, attending sporting events and just hanging out.
