CANTON FIRE DEPARTMENT
This 18,000 square foot renovation converted a combined police/fire facility into the Canton Fire Department Headquarters. The $1.8 million project was designed by Allen Lieb Architects.
A former combined police and fire station, this building required extensive demolition work to accommodate the new layout, including asbestos abatement and lead removal. The station houses the new fire truck bays with overhead doors. New locker rooms with turnout gear were installed, and total HVAC, plumbing, fire sprinkler, telecommunications and electrical upgrades were implemented.
A new emergency response system was also integrated, which required the existing dispatch office to remain fully functional until completion of the new dispatch office.
