Sean joined Colantonio in February 2012 with 30 years construction experience.  His background includes work in the academic, assisted living, and laboratory markets with former employers Cutler Associates, Shawmut Design & Construction and Metric Construction.  Unlike most Superintendents, Sean has several years’ experience as a Project Manager from design through construction, which gives him valuable insight into the planning process.  He enjoys his work as a superintendent because he “loves solving problems.”  He is currently overseeing the new construction of Haywood House, 55 units of affordable housing for the Newton Housing Authority.

The challenges presented by the Norwood Public Works Facility project – extremely restrictive job sites, contaminated soils and a tight schedule – make it his favorite Colantonio project to date.  “One of the things I like about working at Colantonio is,” says Sean, “they let me do my job.  Fran and George know they don’t need to micromanage me.”  Off-hours challenges for Sean include hiking, camping, skiing, biking, skeet shooting and cooking with family and friends.
