The Associated General Contractors (AGC) presented Colantonio Inc. with the C.E. Simmons Award for Best Safety Record of 2014. The honor was given at the AGC 2015 Safety Awards Breakfast recently held at the Boston College Club in Boston.
Colantonio earned the distinction in the Under 100,000 Work Hours category. The firm also earned the Excellent Safety Award for Zero Incidence Rate in the 50,000+ Work Hours category.
President Fran Colantonio praised his outstanding staff for their extreme diligence in keeping their job sites safe. “Our Superintendents, field personnel and tradesmen, along with Safety Manager Karen Vecchione, deserve the credit for this achievement,” said Colantonio. “Safety is our highest priority, and they are on the front lines every day making sure it stays that way.”
Colantonio won First Place in the AGC of America Construction Safety Excellence Awards in 2013. The firm has won safety awards from the local AGC chapter consistently over the past twelve years.
