Colantonio Inc. carpenter Bob Wiggins is a favorite among residents of the Jewish Community Housing for the Elderly's Golda Meir House, which is undergoing an extensive renovation.

Construction manager Colantonio Inc. was recently selected by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance to perform a general renovation of the historic Senate Chamber and associated Senate Lobby of the Massachusetts State House.

The National Safety Award recognizes firms that have developed and successfully implemented industry-leading safety standards across its portfolio of work. 

Last week, Senate leaders and an architect unveiled renderings of the soon-to-be remodeled chamber, a project scheduled for completion in January 2019.

The plans called for the demolition of the entire existing building within the property boundaries of the existing exterior brick wall. The floor demolition was done extremely carefully to avoid damaging the exterior brickwork.

The 82,000 square-foot school features classrooms, a gymnasium, kitchen, cafetorium, art, health, music, and specialized classroom spaces geared for prekindergarten, kindergarten and first-grade students.

For the second year in a row, the Massachusetts Chapter of the Associated General Contractors (AGC MA) presented Colantonio Inc. with the chapter’s Clifford E. Simmons Award for Best Safety Record and the AGC of America’s Certificate of Commendation for Excellent Safety Record.
