Project Description
The $34 million reconstruction of the Woods Hole Ferry Terminal, completed in partnership with the Steamship Authority and BIA Studio, modernized the terminal while keeping ferry operations running throughout the entire two-year construction schedule. The project included a new ferry terminal building, utility building, attendant booths, bus berths, reconstructed site utilities, and upgraded vehicle accommodations. Every phase of the work was carefully planned to maintain both landside and waterside operations on this active ferry terminal. The project also included the installation of 39 geothermal wells, supporting the facility’s long-term sustainability goals.
