Project Description
$32 million gut rehab of a 1907, 4 1/2-story masonry building and construction of a 25,000 SF wood frame addition for the Cambridge Housing Authority. The project will convert the building from 38 single-room-occupancy units to 62 studio apartments.
The building will receive a new common kitchen, waste disposal system and an expanded laundry room. A new all-electric variable refrigerant flow heating and cooling system will also be installed. The new units will provide housing for people who have experienced chronic homelessness and/or are elderly or living with disabilities.
